Cybersecurity Converge Tour
St. Louis Community College’s Converge Tour events focus on enhancing students' understanding of career options and pathways in cybersecurity. Collaborating with local high schools, we engage students who are both considering and not yet considering a career in this field. The events are structured as three-hour workshops, providing a platform for cybersecurity professionals to directly engage with and motivate students. The workshop format includes an introductory hour on cybersecurity basics, followed by a second hour where students engage in team-based cybersecurity challenges. The final hour features a panel discussion and Q&A session, where professionals and mentors share their experiences and career journeys in cybersecurity. To date, three Converge Tour events have been successfully conducted, receiving positive feedback from high school teachers in the area.
