September 16, 2026, 2:00 PM Eastern Time – Beyond the Answer: Using AI as a Thought Partner 

AI helps teams clarify thinking, generate ideas rapidly, simplify everyday work, and make sharper decisions. In this session we will explore how to use AI tools as strategic partners that uncover ideas, perspectives, and possibilities that may not emerge from basic uses.

October 14, 2026, 2:00 PM Eastern Time – Part 1. Prompting with Purpose: Getting Better Results from AI

This session introduces educators to the foundations of effective AI prompting. Participants will learn how small changes in wording, context, and clarity can dramatically improve AI responses, while exploring practical classroom and planning examples they can use right away.

October 21, 2026, 2:00 PM Eastern Time – Part 2. Beyond the Prompt: Smarter AI Workflows for Educators

November 4, 2026, 2:00 PM Eastern Time – No One an Island: Integrating AI Support Into Academic Program Review

This session explores an AI-assisted program review workflow at North Central Michigan College, undertaken as part of the League of Innovation AI Fellows Program. This endeavor employed collaborative design, transparent communication, and iterative feedback at every stage to develop two forms of AI mediated support: an auto-population bot to reduce manual data entry and a data analysis support bot to identify patterns and trends, suggest themes for faculty exploration, and provide comparative context against institutional benchmarks. The session addresses the AI development process and testing, as well as offers practical strategies for navigating buy-in and development hurdles.

November 18, 2026, 2:00 PM Eastern Time – Beyond the Chatbot: Designing AI Conversations That Make Students Think

This session explores how BoodleBox can be used to create learning partners that bring meaningful, back-and-forth learning conversations into asynchronous courses. Using examples from an English for Academic Purposes composition course, we’ll examine how AI conversation partners can be designed to question, probe, ask for evidence, challenge assumptions, and encourage students to develop their own ideas rather than simply provide answers. Participants will see how this model can extend beyond composition to other disciplines where dialogue, reflection, and active learning are important, and leave with practical strategies for designing AI-supported conversations that make asynchronous learning more interactive, responsive, and human-centered.

December 9, 2026, 2:00 PM Eastern Time – AI as Research Editor: Creating Engaging Newsletters for Higher Education

This presentation demonstrates how custom GPTs can streamline the process of finding, evaluating, and translating current information into visually engaging newsletters for faculty, staff, students, and families. Participants will explore how AI can support research curation, professional development, general education, and critical thinking while maintaining accuracy, ethical use, and human oversight.
