Personalities, attitudes, and communication styles are crucial components to working on a team. We’ll explore your creative confidence, capacity for innovation, and character strengths as a foundation for the workshop activities and culminating project.
10:55 - 11:10 AM Break
11:10 AM - 12:00 PM Creativity
Now it’s time to roll up your sleeves and get to work in your teams. We’ll explore the theme of Creativity and use specific ideation methods and techniques to determine the problem or issue you want to solve through the innovation process.
12:00 - 12:45 PM Lunch
12:45 - 1:15 PM Storytelling
Telling your story is how you get support for your idea, product, or school. We’ll look at the importance of stories in the competitive market of higher education, then guide your team to develop your solution’s name, slogan, and hook to use in a public service announcement.
1:15 - 4:00 PM Design
Design is all around you and we are all designers! We’ll explore good and bad design, and guide your team through multiple activities on prototyping, gathering feedback, and iterating your solution. (Break 2:30 - 2:45 PM)

Collaboration Can Save the World!
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Entrepreneurship
Not everyone wants to start their own company, but entrepreneurship is much more than that. We’ll explore the importance of these skills and how they apply to society. Then your team will pull together all of its previous work to build a pitch presentation to take back to your school.

12:45 - 2:00 PM Pitch-Fest
Have you ever wanted to pitch on SharkTank, or maybe be a Shark yourself? A sampling of teams will present their developed pitch to the entire group, while a panel of judges decides whether their ideas are worth investment.
2:00 - 2:15 PM Break
2:15 - 3:15 PM Roundtable Discussions
After two days of intense work in teams, we’ll take some time to mix it up and discuss experiences, learning, and action plans with colleagues. This is a chance to network and connect about where you’ll go from here.
3:15 - 4:00 PM Closing Activities
We’ll come together for a final discussion and a short review, Q&A from the day, and the Learning Summit survey before everyone hits the road.
