Rogue Community College (RCC) is seeking a collaborative, equity-minded leader to serve as Dean of Student Success. This senior role provides strategic leadership for student services, student conduct, and care systems that support student success, retention, and well-being across RCC’s multiple campuses.

Reporting to the Vice President of Student Learning & Success / Provost, the Dean provides leadership and oversight for student support and instructional programs and functions. This position serves as the College’s primary administrator for student conduct, CARES Team, and student behavior policies, ensuring fair, legally sound, and developmentally appropriate responses. The Dean works collaboratively with faculty and staff to advance academic quality, program development, and student success initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead student services initiatives that promote access, equity, belonging, and student retention, progression, and completion
Oversee Counseling; Associated Student Government; Student Life; Snap 50/50 Training & Employment Program (STEP); Advocacy and Resource Center; Access and Disability Resources; TRiO-SSS; Military Resource Center; Athletics; Health, P.E., & Outdoor Adventure Leadership; and related programs.
Co-lead the Student Success Committee
Direct the student conduct system and CARES Team
Serve as Deputy Title IX Coordinator and Hearing Officer
Supervise and develop faculty and staff using inclusive, trauma-informed practices
Use data to improve outcomes and close equity gaps
Collaborate with instructional leaders and community partners

Minimum Qualifications
Education – Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, Educational Leadership, Communication, Management, Public Administration, or a directly related field is required.

Experience - A minimum of five years of increasingly responsible experience in student system design/ management, program management/ development, and personnel management with exposure to budgeting is required.

Only degrees received from an accredited institution will be accepted: accreditation must be recognized by the office of degree authorization, US Department of Education, as required by ORS 348.609. Final candidate will be required to provide official transcripts for required degree.

Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience which ensures the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute for the requirement(s). Please see our Applicant Guide for more information on education/experience equivalency guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a community college setting.
PhD or Law Degree.
Professional counseling license.
Mediation certification.
Additional Posting Information

This is a full-time Exempt/Managerial (100%, 246 days/year) position in the Student, Learning & Success department. Starting compensation will be based on Grade N of the 2025-26 salary schedule, in accordance with initial placement per the current Management, Administrative, and Confidential Employee Handbook. Consideration will be given to related experience and educational achievement but generally not expected to exceed the midpoint of the range.
