Please read these instructions carefully and complete all tabs in the online application. Incomplete applications or nonadherence to specific requirements may impact how your application is ranked for consideration.

Application Due Date Extended to September 24, 2021

Applications must be accompanied by a $200 nonrefundable application fee using the Credit Card Authorization form. (Purchase orders and checks are not accepted for this fee.)

Applicant Instructions

  • Qualifications for the Presidency by Professional Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in senior-level administrative positions, such as vice chancellor, vice president, provost, dean, or equivalent, at a two-year college is generally required. Include positions you have held in the last ten years on your resume.
  • Resume: Submit a current resume in Calibri 11 font. A suggested resume format and an inventory of leadership terms are included in the ELI Application Packet.
  • Two Letters of Recommendation: Evidence of leadership potential as viewed by others is required. Submit two letters (not more) from key community college leaders that attest to your leadership qualities and your potential to be a community college president. One letter must be from your current chief executive officer/president.

Payment, Refund, and Cancellation Policy

Submission of a nonrefundable $200 application fee is required to complete your application.

Tuition payment is due by November 1, 2021.
Refunds minus a $250 cancellation fee will be issued for registrations cancelled in writing by November 1, 2021. Tuition fees for cancellations received after November 1, 2021, will not be refunded. Executive Leadership Institute participation may be deferred for one year only.
