Biography:
Stephnie brings over 18 years of higher education accreditation and compliance experience, having served as an Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) for multiple regional and programmatic accrediting bodies including WASC, HLC, and specialized accreditors for nursing, business, and police programs. She has successfully facilitated numerous accreditation visits?from comprehensive reviews to focused visits and new program approvals?approaching each as an opportunity to strengthen institutions and build meaningful connections across higher education. As District Director of Compliance Reporting and Accreditation Support for the Maricopa County Community College District, Stephnie supports accreditation activities across 10 colleges and has supported 15 total accreditations since joining the District. Her background includes leading accreditation teams, developing assessment frameworks, training faculty and staff on compliance best practices, serving as Director of the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning, facilitating Faculty Senate, and teaching as a faculty member. She believes the accreditation process creates invaluable opportunities for institutional improvement, professional growth, and even enjoyment along the way.
