Biography:
Michael Dzbenski serves as the Teaching and Learning Director at Scottsdale Community College, where he focuses on the future of educational technology through immersive learning, innovative practice, and forward-thinking ideas. He holds Ed.D. and Ed.S. degrees in Educational Technology from Boise State University, with an emphasis on experiential learning and the adoption of virtual reality. Michael works at the intersection of pedagogy and emerging technology, including artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and educational escape rooms that promote problem-solving, collaboration, and active learning. He holds professional certificates in AI Education Tools, Virtual Reality Learning, Community College eLearning, and Educational Games and Simulations, and has led numerous workshops and trainings in instructional design and technology integration. Committed to advancing teaching and learning, Michael supports educators' professional development across the Maricopa Community College system, helping them leverage innovative tools to create engaging, inclusive, and future-ready learning environments.
