Biography:
Heather Mitchell, a Gadsden County native and retired military leader, brings over 22 years of leadership experience to the field of learning and development. After a successful military career, she transitioned into her current role as Learning and Development Training Manager, where she leverages her expertise in leadership, team development, and workforce training to make a meaningful impact in her home communities of Gadsden and Leon Counties.
Heather holds both a bachelor?s and a master?s degree in leadership from Grand Canyon University and is certified as a DISC Facilitator and Corporate Trainer. Passionate about professional growth, she designs and implements dynamic training programs that address the evolving needs of today?s workforce, leading to measurable improvements in team performance and individual career development.
As part of her role, Heather ensures that employees have access to workplace wellness initiatives, including mental health and wellness workshops that promote resilience, stress management, and overall well-being. While not the instructor, she plays a key role in organizing and facilitating these opportunities, ensuring that employees receive the support they need to thrive.
An active member of the Association for Talent Development (ATD), the Institute of Organizational Development, and the Association of Florida Colleges (AFC), Heather is committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning and organizational excellence. Her expertise in comprehensive needs assessments, agile coaching techniques, and strategic development initiatives ensures that employees and teams are equipped with the skills they need to succeed.
