Susanna Zambrano

 

Biography:
Susanna M. Zambrano is a graduate of Yuma High School. She earned an Associates of Arts at Arizona Western College and Bachelor?s degrees in Spanish, Psychology, and a Master?s in Education from NAU- Yuma Branch Campus. She studied abroad through Youth With a Mission at the Puerto Rico Campus and taught English in China with English First. She also obtained the Family Development Credential through AWC from the University of Connecticut. She started working as a work-study at the Career Development Department at AWC in 2002, Human Resources Clerk in 2004, Secretary for the International Program in 2006, as Development Coordinator for the AWC Foundation in 2010, Adjunct Instructor of Psychology in 2011, Academic Advising and Student Services Coordinator in 2012 and is now the Associate Dean for South Yuma County. She is the proud recipient of the BIZ Twenty Under 40 award and the Most Influential Person in South County award in 2021. Her passion is serving others, especially vulnerable populations such as orphans and widows. She is happily married to her husband, Rode Zambrano, and plans to grow her family through Foster Care.
