Kelcie Richart

 

Biography:
Kelcie Richart is the Campus Director at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) Franklin-Simpson Center. Kelcie also serves as the SKY FAME Success Coach for the Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AMT) program. In her dual role, she delivers student support services from pre-admission to post-commencement for the SKY FAME students while providing campus engagement and community support for Simpson County. Kelcie graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2015 with a Master of Arts in Education, including career counseling certification. Recently, Kelcie received the NABCA (National Association of Branch Campus Administrators) Dr. George Giacumakis Innovation Award for an academic institution with off-site location(s) whose staff or faculty did something to move the location or institution forward strategically. Kelcie received national recognition for her efforts in helping to launch and continue to support the FAME program. In 2023, Kelcie was instrumental in launching a new program for incarcerated individuals to take distance education courses, SKY DIVE - Southcentral Kentucky Developing the Incarcerated with a Valuable Education. In anticipation for the reinstatement of Second Chance Pell this is an opportunity to become an approved Prison Education Program (PEP) and aid this population by reducing recidivism rates.
