Lori Margolin
Biography:
Lori Margolin is the Vice President for Strategic Initiatives and Continuing Education and Workforce Development at Hudson County Community College. She has successfully partnered with business, government, community organizations, and labor unions to create innovative and transformative programs for students and employers. She has presented her work at local and national conferences including the League for Innovation, American Association of Community Colleges, the Association of Community College Trustees, National Council on Workforce Education, and the International Economic Development Council and has won numerous awards including the Excellence Award, National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development, 2022; Excellence Award, League of Innovation 2022 ? 2023; Top 10 Finalist for the 2023 Bellwether Award for Workforce Development, and the National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity 2023 Teamwork Award. Lori is also a member of the New Jersey State Rehabilitation Council; and is a subject matter expert in scaling and sustaining programs.
Lori?s entrepreneurial approach to workforce development has resulted in programs with best-in-class partners that make a difference in people?s lives. Recent programs include Gateway to Innovation, a comprehensive workforce development initiative funded by a U.S. Department of Labor Strengthening Community Colleges Training Grant, Holz Technik, a high-quality advanced manufacturing registered apprenticeship program, and the Academic and Workforce Pathway Program for incarcerated students.
Lori holds a Bachelor of Science from Brooklyn College, CUNY, and a Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania.
