Creation and Development of Audio and Video Programming
A Rogue Community College (RCC) innovator is spearheading a pioneering initiative to launch a digital media program that integrates audio and visual production, which includes podcasting and radio broadcasting, into the curriculum. Recognizing the evolving landscape of digital storytelling, he is working to develop a dedicated podcasting and radio production track that will allow students to create and distribute professional-quality content to audiences across the Rogue Valley and beyond. By securing an industry partnership with Dolby, the innovator is ensuring that students receive world-class training in cutting-edge technology, bridging the gap between education and industry. This work aligns with RCC’s vision of becoming an inclusive and dynamic college that inspires, strengthens, and transforms. The initiative is more than just a program expansion; it is a transformational effort that creates fundamental change in the way RCC serves students and the broader Southern Oregon media landscape.
