ACC Connect: Bringing the Admission to Enrollment Process to Students

ACC Connect removes barriers to the application and enrollment process by bringing all associated resources to students at their high schools. Coordinated via the Admissions Office, the program works with area high schools with high populations of historically marginalized students and high rates of students qualifying for free and reduced lunches. By providing early interest and presentation sessions for high school juniors, we are able to identify cohorts of high school seniors interested in attending Arapahoe Community College. Seniors then attend monthly sessions to map an academic plan, apply for financial aid, develop a course schedule, meet with relevant program representatives (e.g., TRIO, Disability Access Services), etc. From free assessment testing to one-on-one meetings with financial aid officers and an academic advisor, the ACC Connect program supports students, and their families, in the college enrollment process.
