The League for Innovation in the Community College will open both the 2026-2027 Excellence Awards and the 2026-2027 Terry O’Banion Student Technology Awards on September 1, 2026. The League looks forward to collaborating with member institutions to celebrate deserving employees and students.

The League Excellence Awards honor outstanding faculty, staff, and institutional leaders who have made a significant difference in the lives of students and in the communities their colleges serve. Designated award contacts will receive detailed information about how to submit their institutions’ chosen recipients by December 1, 2026. The Terry O’Banion Student Technology Awards recognize two outstanding community college technology students with a passion for moving into a technology field—a Student Technology Champion and a Student Developer Champion. Each member institution may nominate one student for each category by October 31, 2026.
