IoT-Enabled Smart and Scalable Solutions for Carbon Footprint Reduction and Sustainable Living

The need for effective power consumption monitoring and operational anomaly detection is more critical than ever. However, the absence of digital tools and industrial wireless data transmission capabilities has hindered sustainability and energy efficiency efforts. An IoT-enabled smart and scalable solution has been developed to address this challenge. The solution utilises nonintrusive edge devices equipped with long-range communication modules to monitor power consumption in real time. It significantly reduces carbon footprints and enhances sustainability. This innovative solution has been successfully implemented at various locations, including swimming pools, an MRT construction site, and a 300-room boutique hotel. These implementations have resulted in significant cost savings through more efficient energy usage while also promoting sustainable living on a larger scale. Delivering estimated energy savings of 10-25%, this smart IoT solution transforms energy management from a manual, reactive process to a proactive one. By providing real-time insights and control, it enables early intervention, ensuring optimal energy efficiency.
