CourseVite
Launched in June 2022, the CourseVite pilot streamlines Collin College adjunct staffing by integrating course schedules, faculty preferences, and faculty credentials. Faculty input their preferences (e.g., location, day/time, course), enabling staff to efficiently match qualified instructors to open classes, avoid scheduling conflicts, and access subject-specific faculty lists. Adjuncts then receive 24-hour invitations to specific classes. They can accept or decline each offer from multiple locations, thereby granting them greater schedule control than the previous single-campus system. This broadens teaching opportunities, allowing offers from any campus, while providing staff with a comprehensive view of available instructors. The pilot expands teaching opportunities beyond single-campus relationships, benefiting both adjuncts and staff. User feedback drives ongoing feature updates, ensuring continuous improvement. Recent feature requests include displaying the last time a faculty taught a course or logged into the CourseVite system.
