The Board of Governors of West Virginia University at Parkersburg invites applications nominations for the next President of the college. The President is the chief executive officer of the College and reports to the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors. The successful candidate will be a visionary, politically astute, and collaborative leader who desires to make a long-term commitment to the college and the communities it serves.

The city is about two hours from Columbus, OH and less than three hours from Pittsburgh, PA., in an area poised for tremendous growth.

Founded in 1961, West Virginia University at Parkersburg (https://www.wvup.edu/) was
chartered as one of the state's first comprehensive community colleges. Today the college enrolls approximately 2,200 full and part-time students, in more than 50 professional certificates and degree programs at the associate and baccalaureate levels. WVU Parkersburg is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

The next President should have significant and progressive senior level administrative leadership experience within complex organizations and a thorough understanding of higher education, from both an institutional and national perspective. The President should possess an appetite for community engagement be a builder of partnerships in order to passionately “tell the story of WVU Parkersburg”.
