Salary range for this position is: $61,640.25/yr. - $80,881.92/yr. (depending on experience)

As an Electrician, you will be responsible for being a key member of the team that maintains the campus facilities. In this role, you will provide electrician services and supervision for installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and systems, including high voltage distribution systems. This position functions as recognized expert to lead and supervise assistants, to complete projects and troubleshoot.

What you will be working on:
Install, maintain, repair and alter electrical systems and equipment. Resolve complex problems.
Conduct preventative maintenance program on transformers and switch gear
Install, connect, operate, and maintain a variety of electrical equipment including power distribution systems, transformers and switches, at a journeyman level
Read electrical plans and blueprints, and be able to make changes and corrections / redline drawings.
Inspect maintenance and installation projects to ensure compliance with local codes.
Determine scope of work, materials needed, and cost and availability.
Schedule and coordinate work
Keep shop records and write reports when required
Enforce safety rules; establish and maintain procedures for electrical shop activities
Oversee and guide employees on electrical projects
What you bring as a candidate: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience)
Electricians License
Knowledge of standard practices, methods, materials, tools and equipment of electrical trade; electrical codes; safety precautions
Basic computer skills
Ability to work from blueprints, plans and sketches; estimate materials and time needed to complete jobs
Valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform range of physical motions, exerting up to 25 pounds; lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds; standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time, kneeling, squatting, and stooping; and traversing up and down stairs.
