Pins and Certificates

Each Innovation of the Year Award recipient will receive a commemorative pin, an Innovation of the Year Award certificate, and a copy of the League Awards Program in which they appear (see below).

Innovations Conference Events

Each year's Innovation of the Year Award recipients will be recognized at the following Innovations Conference. For instance, recipients of the 2024-2025 awards were honored at the 2026 Innovations Conference. Recipients of the 2025-2026 awards will be honored at the 2027 Innovations Conference. (Please note: Neither honoraria nor expenses are provided to award recipients.) Recipients who attend this event:

  • Pick up their Innovation of the Year Award lapel pins when they check in onsite.
  • Are celebrated and recognized as League awardees throughout the conference. (More information coming soon!)

All remaining award materials will be mailed to the president or chancellor of each participating college for distribution after the conference.

Congratulatory Ads

Participating colleges and systems are encouraged to submit an ad for the League Awards Program to highlight and congratulate award recipients. Submissions may include photos of recipients and/or a special congratulatory message.

Innovation of the Year Award contacts receive email instructions for how to purchase an ad throughout the open period. Ads for 2025-2026 Innovation of the Year Award winners and 2026-2027 Excellence Award recipients may be purchased through December 1.

League Website and Publications

The League features Innovation of the Year Award winners on its website. In addition, winning team members for each Innovation of the Year will be invited to submit manuscripts to League publications and proposals for the associated Innovations Conference. (Neither honoraria nor expenses are provided; selection criteria apply.)
