John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Awards Recognition

Medallions and Certificates

A specially cast, pewter medallion will be given to each John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Awards recipient upon check-in at the Innovations Conference registration desk. Recipients are encouraged to wear their medallions throughout the conference. For those unable to attend, medallions will be sent to the college president or chancellor in April.

Each recipient will also receive an honorary John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Awards certificate. Certificates will be mailed to the college president or chancellor in April.

Congratulatory Ads

Participating colleges and systems are encouraged to submit an ad for the annual John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Awards program. The purpose of the ads is to highlight and congratulate Excellence Awards recipients from your college, and to bring attention to Alliance member institutions. Submissions may include photos of recipients and/or a special congratulatory message.

The deadline to submit congratulatory ads is January 13, 2017. Contact Chris Hennessey at (480) 705-8200, ext. 237, for more information.

Innovations Conference Events

All 2016 Excellence Awards recipients are invited to attend the 2017 Innovations Conference, at which special events are planned to celebrate their accomplishment. Event participation is celebratory; attendance is not required to receive this award. The League does not provide an honorarium, travel expenses, or compensation for conference registration.

John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Awards Kick-Off Event

At this exclusive event on Sunday, recipients will be congratulated and celebrated for their exemplary work. Due to space limitations, this event is for 2016 Excellence Awards recipients only.

John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Awards Recipient Highlights

We will record a video onsite during the Sunday and Monday evening receptions. The purpose of the video is to inspire and motivate community college faculty, staff, and administrators, and show the diversity and richness of community colleges.

John & Suanne Roueche Excellence Awards Celebration and Closing Session

The closing session of the conference on Wednesday pays special tribute to the Excellence Awards recipients. The Awards Program, featuring all recipients, will be distributed to participants. As the session comes to a close, recipients will be asked to stand and have their medallions formally hung around their necks. This is a moving event that you will not want to miss! (Friends, family members, and colleagues of awards recipients are welcome to attend.)
