Carrie Rong Xiao, CPA is a tenured faculty member in Accounting at Hudson County Community College and the 2025?2026 recipient of the Philip Johnston Award for Excellence in Teaching. A Certified Public Accountant, she holds an MBA from Virginia Tech University and brings professional experience in corporate and governmental accounting. Carrie is recognized for integrating artificial intelligence into accounting education in academically rigorous and student-centered ways. She was the recipient of the AI Curricular Innovation ?Spark? Grant and has earned multiple AI-related Certificates of Achievement from NJIT. Recently, she presented ?Integrating AI in Accounting Education? at the New Jersey Council of County Colleges? statewide event, Teaching and Learning in the Age of Artificial Intelligence. She serves as a Faculty Ambassador for the NJCPA and is an active member of the AICPA.
