Dr. Susan Cooperider is an Associate Professor of Nursing at Central Ohio Technical College in Newark, OH. She teaches courses in the ADN and BSN programs and has worked in nursing education since 2008. Susan greatly enjoys the diverse population in a community college setting and finds this to be the best environment to positively impact the lives of her students. She states there is nothing more rewarding than witnessing student success. Her deep affection for maternal/newborn care is translated into women?s health courses she teaches at the college. She also feels a deep commitment to nursing students who are new in the program. Susan finds it critical to provide new students with a supportive environment as they begin this challenging journey. Her ultimate goals for all nursing students surround fostering a sense of personal pride, competence, and humility while respecting and protecting the patients they serve. She enjoys spending time with her family and Doberman Pinscher and loves any opportunity to visit Florida where she was born and raised.
