Patrick Huth
Biography:
Professor Patrick Huth has been teaching Physics and Astronomy at the Community College of Allegheny County's Boyce Campus since 2008. He attended the University of Pittsburgh and has degrees in Physics, Astronomy and Science Education. Professor Huth's teaching career began in 1995 at Woodland Hills High School, where he taught Physics and Astronomy to juniors and seniors until 1999. On January 1, 2000, he began work as a NASA Aerospace Education Specialist at the Dryden Flight Research Center on Edwards Air Force Base. He spent two years in California and three more at NASA's John Glenn Research Center in Cleveland. At the end of 2004 Professor Huth was hired by the Office of Naval Research as Coordinator of Education Programs at the Penn State University Electro-Optics Research Center in Freeport, PA. He worked for the Navy until starting at CCAC in 2008, but will occasionally teach physics and electro-optics courses in the Physics Department at Penn State and at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
