Biography:
Benjamin Kaupp, MAT, M.Sp.Ed, is a dedicated educator and advocate specializing in neurodiversity and inclusive learning environments. He leads the Tools for Transition & Work (TTW) program at Foothill College, guiding students toward independent adulthood by emphasizing individual strengths and providing resources to navigate academic and career paths effectively. TTW represents a comprehensive, year-long academic program of more than 25 transcriptable classes. Kaupp's academic journey began with an undergraduate degree from UC Santa Cruz, followed by a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Southern California. He further specialized by earning a Master of Arts in Special Education and Autism Spectrum Disorder, graduating with distinction from Arizona State University. Currently, he is a doctoral student at Johns Hopkins University, focusing on the success gap in community colleges for students with disabilities. His commitment to empowering neurodivergent students is evident through his innovative teaching methods and application of critical disability theory.
