I am an accomplished IT professional with a passion for innovation and student success in higher education. With extensive experience in information technology, At Forsyth Technical Community College, I play a role in leveraging emerging technologies to enhance institutional efficiency, support faculty and staff, and improve the student experience. As Vice President of Information Technology and CIO, I collaborate with cross-divisional teams to explore the evolving role of technology in education, as well as data governance and responsible use of AI. My work focuses on researching best practices, evaluating industry trends, and identifying solutions that align with student and institutional needs. I strive to contribute to shaping strategic initiatives that prepare the college for the future in higher education. My goal is to bridge the gap between technology and education, ensuring that IT initiatives are both forward-thinking and practical. I am dedicated to continuous learning and problem-solving, helping faculty and staff navigate an ever-changing digital landscape. I serve on the College's Executive Leadership Team, as well as the chair of the Data Governance Council at Forsyth Tech. Outside of the college, I serve a member of the executive board of directors for WinstonNet (www.winstonnet.org) and a board member for HERDI Innovate (https://herdi.org/innovate/). In my personal life, I am the proud mother of 4 wonderful children and two adorable grandbabies.
