Cristhian C. Altamirano

 

Biography:
Cristhian C. Altamirano is a student affairs professional with approximately 8 years of experience across multiple fields, in addition to experience in academic affairs. This includes experience in new student orientation, academic advisement, disability/accessibility services and finally, early college-dual enrollment programs. He has served as an adjunct instructor for both undergraduate and graduate level courses, while serving on several psychological research teams. Currently, he serves as the Associate Director for the Early College Program at Hudson County Community College (HCCC), and is a proud supporter of community colleges. In his role, he works with high school administrations to promote the program and provide access opportunities to students via dual/concurrent enrollment and courses at HCCC. He is currently a doctoral student pursuing his Ph.D. in educational psychology from Rutgers University New Brunswick, with an interest in graph comprehension among developmental and college-level math students. He has earned two master degrees in education and experimental psychology from both Rutgers University New Brunswick and Camden, respectively, while having earned his bachelors degree in psychology from Rutgers University Newark. He is a proud Rutgers alumnus.
