Apryl Henry

 

Biography:
Apryl has taught math and statistics at Normandale Community College since 2003. She maintains her Minnesota grades 7-12 Mathematics teaching license and taught both high school and middle school math before starting at Normandale. She is also a Carnegie Foundation National Faculty member. In addition to teaching, she has had the opportunity to work on a variety of college and State-level committees, to be a concurrent enrollment mentor for high school instructors teaching college-level classes, to facilitate training sessions related to State standards, to consult with the Carnegie Foundation with the development of their Statway Instructor materials, and to review hard copy, online, and video content for a large publishing company. Apryl graduated with her B.A. in Mathematics from Grinnell College and her M.A. in Mathematics Education from the University of Minnesota. She was the Faculty of the Year recipient at Normandale in 2023-24. When not working, Apryl enjoys gardening, reading, baking, hiking, participating in fitness classes, and supporting her kids and husband in their many endeavors.
