Sarah EW Finch, Ph.D, is a Professor of Biology and Biotechnology at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, OH. Sarah graduated from Miami University in Oxford, OH, with a degree in Microbiology. She then earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from the University of Georgia. Sarah is an integral member of numerous committees dedicated to empowering women in STEM and academia, including the Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (WiSTEM) Institute at Sinclair, Women in Leadership and Learning (WILL) at Sinclair, and the Women?s Institute for Leadership Development (WILD) which supports, develops and advances women?s roles in higher education. Sarah is honored to have been chosen as a Department of Defense STEM Ambassador from 2023 - 2024. She was also selected as an NSTA STEM Fellow from 2024-2025. Sarah is proud to provide STEM outreach and educational opportunities to students, fellow STEM educators, and her community.
