Biography:
Thesha Zeigler is a first-generation student from North Tulsa. She earned a bachelor?s degree in business management and master?s degree in urban education, which focuses on educational improvements for under-served and under-represented students from diverse backgrounds at Langston University in Langston Oklahoma...L?s Up, GO Lions!!
She has worked in the business sector for 20 years and started her career of choice in education at Tulsa Community College in 2005. Currently, Thesha thrives as a student advocate and navigator in her current position as an Academic Success Coach in The Center of Community and Learning. Daily tasks consist of designing strategies for student success both in school and personal life, team building relationships with faculty and staff as a support resource for student improvement in retention and graduation rates, life coaching and leadership development.
Her daily mission is to research the latest trends in education, develop programming that brings out the best in students in a safe and productive environment. Her motto is ?If you fix the root of the problem, everything else will fall into place.? Thesha believes no one should walk alone in this world we call ?life?.
Thesha?s achievements include recipient of the League Excellence Award 2024-2025, nominee for Professional Employee of the Year 2024, Board member of EMPOWER-ED a non-profit organization, IMPACT Maker Award for Student Success (Spring 2022), Leadership Tulsa (Fall 2021), and Tulsa Community College Chapter Chair of The National Society of Leadership and Success, a winner of Distinguished Chapter of the Year Award (Spring 2020).
