I am an Associate Professor and the George Kaiser Family Foundation Endowed Chair for Student Outreach at Tulsa Community College (TCC), within the Department of Child Development and Education (CD&E). I hold a Master?s degree in Social Sciences and a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies from Iowa State University. My research focuses on critical issues such as domestic violence, resilience, and the mental and physical health challenges faced by Latina immigrant mothers. As the Student Outreach Coordinator for the Child Development programs at TCC, I work to connect with and support the Latinx community, particularly bilingual educators, both on campus and throughout the greater Tulsa area.
