Paula Roberts is the Assistant Registrar at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina. She has dedicated her professional career to Wake Tech. She began as a Wake Tech student in 1996 and along the way a faculty member approached her in a class to become a student worker for the Business Education division, based on excelling in her studies. After completion of a computer technology certificate and an A.A.S. business degree, Paula was hired in the Registrar's Office at Wake Tech in 1999. She then rose through the ranks from Office Assistant to Degree Audit Coordinator to Student Records Coordinator and finally, Assistant Registrar, a position she has held for the last 12 years. She is the local historian for the college?s student records. She is a critical thinker and customer-focused person. She is a tireless advocate for her team in Student Records. She is always searching to find better solutions and deliver quality work for students, faculty, and staff. For 26 years, Paula has been integral to Registration and Records. At the same time, she has been a committed wife to her husband Randy and mother to her two children, Aaron, and Leigha. In April 2024, Paula was honored to receive the Excellence in Leadership Award and Staff Member of the Year Award at Wake Tech for her noticeable years of service which include her teams' efforts in the college's Reach & Rally goals for Advising Redesign, a muti-faceted and multi-year project shared across Enrollment and Student Services Division.
