From my early days as a dedicated student-athlete to my recent endeavors as a PhD graduate and new mom, I have embraced each experience as a chance to evolve, contribute, and explore. Growing up in Pennsylvania, I cultivated a love for the outdoors and adventure from a young age. Whether it was navigating mountainside or visiting our local farms,I found solace and inspiration in the beauty of nature and the thrill of what life had in store for me. As I transitioned into higher education, my passion for learning and personal development deepened. I pursued degrees in Health and Physical Education, Sport and Recreation Administration, and ultimately, a Ph.D. in Education with a focus on Organizational Leadership. Each step of the way, I sought out opportunities to expand my knowledge, challenge conventional thinking, and make a meaningful impact in my field. While completing my doctoral studies, I embarked on a new chapter as a mother, welcoming the arrival of my precious child into the world. Balancing the demands of academia with the joys and responsibilities of motherhood has been both exhilarating and humbling, reinforcing my resilience and capacity for growth in unexpected ways. In my professional endeavors, I have always been driven by a desire to give back and empower others to reach their full potential. Whether serving as a director, educator, or advisor, I have remained steadfast in my commitment to fostering student success and building inclusive, supportive communities. At Wake Technical Community College, I lead the Math & Science Care Team, overseeing a dedicated group of individuals who share my passion for student empowerment and holistic growth. Together, we strive to create an environment where every student feels valued, supported, and equipped to achieve their goals. Beyond the confines of academia, I am actively involved in initiatives that promote environmental stewardship and community engagement. Whether volunteering with local efforts, mentoring aspiring athletes, or advocating for educational equity, I am driven by a sense of purpose and a desire to leave a positive impact on the world around me.
