Dr. Theresa LaMotte Community College of Baltimore County Dr. LaMotte has served as the Kinesiology Program Director at the Community College of Baltimore County for 21 years. During that time, the program strategically evolved from being a fitness-based program into the largest feeder of medical exercise programs in the State of Maryland. Dr. LaMotte is most proud of the change of the depth of Kinesiology constituents, from a predominantly young, white male base into a rich blend of diverse ages, ethnicities, and economic structures. Doing so required a dedication to developing relationships with students, providing individualized completion plans, and creating partnerships with Maryland?s four-year academic institutions. In addition to the Kinesiology program, Dr. LaMotte works with Maryland Police and Corrections Training Association to provide education and oversight for injury prevention and management, nutrition, stress management, and fitness for multiple Maryland law enforcement agencies. With great pride, Dr. LaMotte is happy to accept the Excellence Award on behalf of the Community College of Baltimore County.
