Laura Fiscus, M. Ed., is Professor and Chair of Academic Development at Allegany College of Maryland where she teaches courses in Developmental English, Reading, and Student Development. Laura works with students to build non-cognitive skills, such as perseverance, resilience, and self-motivation. She integrates mindfulness practices in her courses to help students manage stress and improve success.
