Michael Joseph Smith
Biography:
Hi, I am Michael Smith. Since 2009, I have taught at Alvin College, both on-campus and at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, holding a bachelor?s in international business, a master?s in business and bioinformatics, and currently pursuing my PhD. I am honored to receive this recognition, but I believe it reflects the division's collective efforts rather than an individual achievement. I'm fortunate to be part of such a great team. I was inspired by my dad, Frank Smith, who began teaching TDCJ courses for Alvin College over forty years ago. Following in his footsteps felt like a natural calling and a meaningful way to honor his legacy. I believe teaching is a privilege that allows us to shape minds and make a lasting difference in students' lives.
