Allyson Turner
Biography:
Allyson Turner (she/they) serves as the Digital Initiatives & OER Librarian at the Community College of Aurora, where she runs a mini-grant OER program and workshop on open education. She is passionate about equitable, accessible access to information, evidenced by her work in libraries since her undergraduate years.
Allyson received her Bachelor's in English from Southern Utah University, where she studied her favorite authors and discovered new ones, and her Master's in Library & Information Science from the University of Denver. She is a lifelong student of life, always learning and growing, fueled by endless curiosity and wonder.
Outside of work, Allyson has a variety of interests, including but not limited to: reading, writing poetry, crochet, baking, hiking, needlework, and dreaming. She has a number of poems published, a poetry collection in the works, and far too many projects to finish.
