Dr. Scott Friedman has served since 2015 as Dean of Student Engagement at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, IL. He oversees the Academic Advising Center, Center for Disability Services, Counseling & Career Development Center, Human Development courses, New Student Orientation, Study Abroad & Faculty Exchanges, and the Transfer Center and articulation initiatives. Dr. Friedman co-leads both the college?s Strategic Priority Indicators (KPIs) initiative and the college?s Equity Academy professional development program. He previously led the college?s DEI work under the Illinois Equity in Attainment Initiative from fall 2018-spring 2022. He holds master's degrees in Adult & Higher Education and Special education, and completed his Ph.D. in Disability Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
