Lynne Brandt currently holds the position of Department Chair of Music and Audio Engineering at San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas. She has worked for SJC since 2010 serving initially as a professor of music theory and flute. She previously held teaching positions at College of the Mainland, Alvin Community College, Brazosport College, and Texas Christian University. Prior to her work in higher education, she worked for more than a decade in several school districts throughout Texas. Lynne received her Bachelor of Music with double majors in Music Theory/Composition and Flute Performance from Texas Christian University. She completed a Master of Music in Musicology from the University of North Texas. She is a proud mom to three Eagle Scouts, a passionate lover of the outdoors, and an unapologetic spoiler of rescue dogs.
