Karega Cooper


Karega Cooper earned both his BS and MS degrees in Mathematics from Clark Atlanta University. His research experience includes dielectric experiments on newly discovered liquid crystal KN125 at the Naval Research Laboratories; studying tornado climatology at the University of Oklahoma and modeling blood flow under the stress of exercise at the University of Limpopo, South Africa. Karega began his teaching career in 2003 at Atlanta Metropolitan Community College as an adjunct instructor before moving on to teach as a guest lecturer at the University of Limpopo. He taught as a full-time instructor for four years at the Metropolitan Community College, in Kansas City, MO ? before joining Harper full-time in 2009 where his pedagogical interest and focus has been teaching mathematics through a social justice lens.
