Dr. Garrick Grace is an educational strategist focused on innovation to increase student engagement. Garrick started his career as a high school social studies teacher and shortly fell in love with the impact technology played in enhancing the learning experience. From there, he embraced educational technology leadership focusing on learning environments rich in technology to better assist educators and students in the teaching and learning process. He is also passionate about online education, where he ensures Universal Design for Learning and accessibility standards help all students achieve success. Garrick is currently working on integrating virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and Competency-Based education into the California Community College system in his role as the Dean of Innovation at Merced College.
