Chrissy Davis Jones
Biography:
Dr. Chrissy L. Davis Jones is the Vice President for Student Success and Chief Enrollment Officer at Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) in Pennsylvania. She has an extensive background in higher education focused on developing, restructuring, and implementing student success-related programs. Dr. Davis Jones? previous appointments include director of student success, dean of student support services, student conduct officer, interim vice president of student affairs, and Title IX coordinator. In addition to her administrative roles, Dr. Davis Jones is an adjunct faculty and instructor at different institutions.
Chrissy is known as a compassionate leader who is passionate about the mission of teaching and learning and serious about the business of student access and success. Since Chrissy arrived at HACC, she has quickly made an impact by securing a 2.3-million-dollar Title 3 SIP Grant to transform the first-year experience for greater student success. She also oversaw the application and selection of HACC becoming one of seven colleges selected to become an Achieving the Dream institution in 2022 - focusing on whole college transformation for student success and data literacy. Dr. Davis Jones established and co-leads the College's strategic enrollment planning committee. Her focus on implementing a collegewide strategic enrollment plan with student access and success at the center increased HACC's fall-to-fall and fall-to-spring retention for the first time in 10 years.
Dr. Davis Jones is also considered a systems thinker who sees the big picture with a strategic and appreciative `eye? for each pixel. Because of her systemic thinking coupled with her research and data-informed approach, Chrissy is often asked to serve as a consultant to higher education institutions, agencies, and organizations in need of support to facilitate change to enhance the student/customer experience.
