Enrollment Belongs to Everyone: Enhancing Data Literacy for Employee and Student Success
The Data Literacy Project was designed to promote the use of data to inform practices within the Office of Student Success and Enrollment Management and across HACC. The project focuses on creating an exceptional student experience using the Enrollment Progression Monitoring Dashboard (EPMD). The EPMD is a creative and unique dashboard designed to centralize intake and onboarding enrollment measures to de-silo business processes and enhance the student experience. The project is designed to (1) enhance enrollment support to students by allowing employees to see where students are across the enrollment funnel and take appropriate actions; and (2) increase employees' use of data to inform practices, using a tiered teaching and learning approach—need to know, way to know, and reason to know. By investing in the data literacy of employees, we can make informed decisions to improve the student experience and outcomes.
