The League for Innovation has unveiled its May 2025 issues of Leadership Abstracts, Learning Abstracts, and Innovation Showcase, each spotlighting transformative community college initiatives.​

Leadership Abstracts. In “Middlesex Community College: Centering Equity at Its Core,” authors Philip Sisson, Arlene Rodríguez, Matthew Olson, and Noreen McGinness Olson discuss the college's commitment to embedding equity throughout its operations. They detail strategies such as inclusive curriculum design, comprehensive faculty development, and community engagement efforts aimed at fostering an equitable educational environment. The article emphasizes the importance of leadership in driving systemic change and highlights measurable outcomes achieved through these initiatives.​

Learning Abstracts. Seth Vander Tuig's “A PEAK Into Tracking Student Engagement at Kirkwood Community College” explores the development and impact of the Platform for Engagement & Activities at Kirkwood (PEAK). This in-house system tracks student participation in events and organizations, revealing that students involved in campus activities have higher persistence and retention rates. The article provides insights into the design and implementation of PEAK, demonstrating how data-driven approaches can enhance student success.​

Innovation Showcase. In “Research and Innovation in Action at Lone Star College-Tomball,” author Isabelle Chen highlights the college's efforts to cultivate a culture of innovation.
