Bri received her BA in English at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and an MA in English from SDSU. She also earned a Doctorate degree at SDSU in Community College Leadership in Fall 2020. Her dissertation examines how a no-points grading system helps to mitigate equity gaps and decolonize the classroom. She has been teaching at Cuyamaca for 9 years and is highly invested in equity and helping students move through their pathways and graduate with their desired degree or certificate. When the institution shifted to remote instruction, she co-designed and co-facilitated Cuyamaca's local Online Teaching Certificate course for faculty. She is now serving as the college's Distance Education Coordinator and also pursues statewide projects related to professional development for online faculty and equitable grading practices. On a personal note, she lives in Murrieta with her two cats and husband where they enjoy watching sports and trying new recipes together.
