Roberto Villegas-Gold

 

Biography:
Dr. Roberto Villegas-Gold is Counseling Faculty at Phoenix College (PC). He is currently serving as Counseling Department Chair and oversees Career Services. In addition to PC, he is a licensed Psychologist and has a small private practice where he specializes in Forensic Psychology and stress and anxiety disorders. He has taught a number of classes in the district and at other colleges and universities, including first year student success courses, career exploration and development courses, and a variety of psychology and counseling courses. His research foci include discrimination, racism, identity, and coping. Roberto earned his doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Arizona State University, a Masters in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York, and a Bachelors in Psychology from ASU.
