Biography:
Pam Clark is the Executive Director of Advancement at Delta College. She is responsible for the College?s marketing, foundation fundraising, millage campaigns, public broadcasting stations, legislative relations and public sector grants. She started at Delta in 1991, raising funds for the College?s public radio station, winning a national Corporation for Public Broadcasting award in 1995 for her efforts. In 1998, she was promoted to Station Manager (for both WDCQ-TV and WUCX-FM), moving to her current position in 2007. With an expertise is fundraising, Clark has helped raise more than $64 million from the private sector to support College projects, making a significant difference in the life of students and residents of the Great Lakes Bay Region. She has also led two successful Delta College millage renewal campaigns in 2012 and 2020. Clark?s efforts strengthened Delta College?s campus as funding allowed conversion of public broadcasting to digital (2003), renovation of the central Courtyard (2011), renovation of the Health Professions Building (2013), construction of the Downtown Saginaw Center (2019), and construction of the Downtown Midland Center (2021). Additionally, with a large gift from The Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation, the College was able to launch its STEM Explorer vehicle. Legislative efforts have included working on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Broadcasting Spectrum Auction issue for Delta College?s WDCQ-TV, in which the College chose not to participate. Federal efforts have focused on the Second Chance Pell grant, to assist inmates pursuing an education while in the Saginaw Correctional Facility. And through the State of Michigan, Delta College was able to secure state matching funds for its Health Professions Building, Downtown Saginaw Center, Electronic Media area and upcoming Computer Science wing renovations. A resident of the City of Saginaw, Pam has served on the Board of Directors of the Public Libraries of Saginaw since 2003, and also assisted with the Library?s millage renewal. She is also a member of the Great Lakes Bay Estate Planning Council. In 2015, Delta College placed third in the nation for its private fundraising efforts among all participating community colleges, and placed first among community colleges in Michigan. The Delta College Foundation has ranked among the top community colleges multiple times over the past 20 years. Additional recognition includes receiving the 2014 Outstanding Fundraising Executive Award from the Mid-Michigan Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the 2016 Delta College Outstanding A/P Service Award. Clark has a masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Saginaw Valley State University, a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan ? Ann Arbor, and an Associate of Arts degree from Delta College. She previously worked in commercial broadcasting, an advertising agency, and a TV production facility.
