The League for Innovation in the Community College is partnering with Education Design Lab and the Federal Reserve Banks of Philadelphia and Cleveland to meet growing consumer and employer demand for short-term credentials with the Community College Growth Engine Fund. This $3 million fund invests in and engages a national cohort of community colleges and systems that will partner with employers and regional stakeholders to create new pathways to economic mobility, and connect low-wage and entry-level workers to in-demand jobs that pay at or above median wage.

The inaugural cohort includes Austin Community College District, The City University of New York, Ivy Tech Community College, Pima Community College, Prince George’s Community College, and Seattle Colleges. The colleges will prepare students for the workforce in careers such as information technology, advanced manufacturing, robotics, building and construction, defense, and health care.
