The Department of Science, Math, and Technology (SMT) is seeking faculty members (at the rank of Instructor) to teach general science, introductory research methods, basic mathematics, and introductory information technology courses. Mathematics and Technology:

The teaching load at ZU for Instructors is established as five courses (15 credit hours) per semester (30 credit hours per year). Instructors are expected to consistently pursue one’s professional development and be active members of the Department, College, and University.

• Quantitative-reasoning pedagogies
• Student-centered learning
• Engaging and interactive teaching
• Commitment to professional development

• A Masters degree (from an accredited university) in the specified teaching discipline will be required to teach courses within particular disciplines.

• A Masters degree from a Top 300 QS globally ranked university
• A Masters degree in Environmental Science or Biology for science and research courses; Mathematics or Engineering for mathematics courses; Computer Science, Information Security or Engineering for technology courses

Required Experience:
• Teaching experience

Preferred Experience:
• Teaching experience in a post-secondary general education program
• Experience working with second-language learners and/or in international contexts
• Completion of a Masters thesis and research-oriented experience (in Science)
