The Director of Pre-Collegiate Partnerships will provide leadership, planning and strategic direction for developing and growing partnerships with K-12 schools and their career and college readiness programs. This position will collaborate with College faculty and departments for the vision, purpose, and overall direction and effectiveness of partnerships and programs in support of the College mission.

Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements strategic contractual relationships with regional school districts
  • Builds and maintains effective collaborative relationships between the College and partner school districts, working directly with district superintendents, principals, counselors, and teachers
  • Exercises collaborative leadership with college stakeholders and high school personnel in support of the overall College mission
  • Solves complex administrative problems and uses discretion in regular communication with school administrators
  • Serves on internal and external councils and/or committees and seeks support and funding for high school partnerships & programs to enhance student college and career preparedness
  • Facilitates the preparation of annual reports to the funding agencies and administrative offices on the accomplishments of the various partnerships and programs
  • Develops and oversees processes to track and monitor students served by partnerships and programs
  • Develops and executes marketing strategies promoting public awareness of the programs under their direction
  • Develops promotional materials, letters to school district officials, grant applications, reports to internal and external constituencies, and establishes procedures for supervised programs
  • Facilitates the preparation of annual reports to the funding agencies and administrative offices on the accomplishments of the various partnerships and programs
  • Stays current and engaged with research, government initiatives, and funding opportunities in the field of school to college relationships
  • Facilitates the preparation of annual reports to the funding agencies and administrative offices on the accomplishments of the various partnerships and programs
  • Assists college departments with targeted outreach and recruitment initiatives to students in partnerships and programs
  • Coordinates, reviews, and approves goals and budgets of various projects
  • Supervises employees, provides performance feedback and conducts evaluations
  • Promotes professional development of staff members in the various projects
  • Coordinates the hiring and orientation of new personnel
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean of Academic Foundations

Required Qualifications:

  • Earned master’s degree from a regionally accredited higher education institution
  • Experience with high school and early college programs serving diverse populations
  • Evidence of effective interpersonal communication, problem solving, project management, and follow through
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting a multi-cultural environment
  • Mastery of the basic skills required in budgeting and personnel administration
  • Evidence of proficiency with technology, including; student information systems, presentation tools, Microsoft Office programs


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three to five years’ experience in higher education administration, preferably in a two-year college
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience
