Function of Position:

This position reports directly to the Associate Director of Testing Services and is responsible for working with students, staff, and faculty to administer and oversee the Brighton Campus testing center and assist with Downtown Campus testing and administration.

Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:
•Administer ACCUPLACER placement exams to students, inform students of their appropriate placement of Math and English, and direct students to advisement opportunities
•Collaborate with campus-wide departments to ensure a smooth intake and testing process for students
•Maintain confidential student records, as well as secure assessment materials for computerized and paper-based assessments
•Manage Banner forms and data input related to testing
•Respond to student inquiries regarding the college's testing program and support services via phone, email, and in person
•Administer accommodated testing for students at MCC, coordinating with faculty, students, and Disability Support Services, in a way that is consistent with ADA regulations
•Administer Combined English Language Skills Assessment (CELSA) testing for students at MCC, coordinating with ESOL faculty, students and Academic Support Services
•Proctor a variety of third-party exams, CLEP exams, and exams for other institutions
•Set schedules for testing, and communicate with faculty
•Compile testing reports
•Schedule testing at off-site locations
•Edit, publish and distribute publications related to Testing Services
•Edit and publish MCC web site publications related to Testing Services
•Train new personnel
•Complete other duties related to Testing Services and Academic Services as assigned by the Associate Director of Testing Services

Required Qualifications:
•Earned associate's degree from a regionally accredited higher education institution
•Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with internal and external constituents
•Candidate must have initiative and strong interpersonal skills for relating effectively with coworkers and the campus community
•Availability to work required night and weekends
•Ability to work at alternate job locations, such as local high schools
•Demonstrated customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications:
•Earned bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited higher education institution
•Work experience in working in a Testing Center environment in a higher education setting
•High level of technology proficiency including, but not limited to: ◦Software and equipment for accommodated testing
◦Various testing platforms and lock down browsers
◦Microsoft Office suite of products including Outlook

•At least two years of customer service experience
